Established in 1957, TMS markets products and services through a network of nearly 1,500 Toyota, Lexus and Scion dealers which sold more than 1.6 million vehicles in 2011. Toyota directly employs nearly 30,000 people in the U.S. and its investment here is currently valued at more than $18 billion.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Customer Relations Intern Program provides college students with exposure to the automotive industry while working in a corporate environment. As a CRI, you will receive an initial four weeks of classroom training. Training will include comprehensive lessons on all Toyota, Lexus, or Scion vehicles, products, services, and policies. Training will also highlight areas of communication, problem solving, negotiation, and customer satisfaction.
After training, your primary responsibility will be communicating with Toyota, Lexus, or Scion customers who contact one of our four call centers. You will work within a team environment where you will act as a liaison between Toyota, Lexus, or Scion owners, prospective consumers, dealerships, region/area offices and headquarters. You will be required to analyze customer concerns (i.e. requests for financial assistance, dealer sales or service related complaints, or product related concerns) and determine the appropriate action to positively impact owner satisfaction and retention.
Customer Relations is one of the key entry-level positions for Toyota and offers a tremendous opportunity to learn about our products, the inner workings of the company, and how to work effectively with a diverse customer base.
