Description: The Department of Nursing is seeking Part-Time Clinical Instructors to teach in the Senior’s Health clinical course with clinical placements in acute and community settings. The course will be taught from March 12 to April 18, 2013 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. There is potential for continued employment.

Qualifications: • Baccalaureate degree required
• Current licensure with CARNA and a member in good standing
• Capacity to demonstrate excellence in nursing (practice, education, administration, and research)
• Capacity to demonstrate excellence in teaching with a preference for prior teaching experience
• Recent relevant nursing practice in community and gerontological nursing that reflects an understanding of population health
• Computer literacy
• Capacity to meet the School of Nursing Nurse Educator expectations (see link) and MRU contract requirements
• Strong communication skills
• Capacity to incorporate theory into practice
• Have at least two years of nursing experience (1125hrs)
