Description: The Education Assistant Certificate program invites applications for a part-time instructional position which will commence in May 2013. The successful candidate will be available to instruct the Technology in the Classroom course. This course provides an introduction to the theoretical and practical components of computers in education with particular reference to their academic, social and cultural implications. The practical component exposes students to different computing environments and software packages.

Confirmed Course Dates:
May 2-June 11, 2013
Tuesdays 9:00 am to 12:45 pm & 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm and Thursdays 8:30 am to 12:15 pm

Duties: The course consists of 45 hours Lecture & 15 hours Tutorial of classroom instruction using approved curriculum. The successful candidate will be responsible for course design based on existing curriculum; design of assessment measures; marking and submission of final course grades. The instructor will also be required to maintain regular contact with the Education Assistant Administration team, and adhere to program policies and deadlines. Experience with Blackboard eLearning Platform would be an asset.

Qualifications: Masters or Doctorate
K-12 teaching experience
