Legal Advisor - ECTAA | Brussels

The position involves monitoring current EU and IATA affairs, preparing briefing documents and analytical material, consulting Members, drafting position papers and liaising with the EU institutions and international organisations such as IATA, UNWTO, etc. The position will require some travel mainly within Europe.

The right candidate would have:

• A university degree in law;
• A very good knowledge of European law, preferably with a particular focus on EU competition and transport legislation;
• Minimum 2 years’ professional experience, preferably in EU affairs & lobbying;
• A good understanding of the European policy making process;
• Excellent command of English and at least another language, such as French, Spanish, German, etc.;
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills;
• Very good organizational and analytical skills;
• The ability to share the responsibilities and tasks with other people;
• Experience in the travel or tourism industry is a plus.

The successful candidate will be working in a small multi-cultural team in one of Europe’s most dynamic industries.
