Literature Assistant

Based London 7 month fixed term post British Council Payband 6. Salary: £18.800 pro rata plus London Market Allowance of £3,300 pro rata.

The Literature Department of the British Council works with writers and literature professionals to promote international collaboration and professional exchange.   We build relationships between reading, writing and publishing communities in the UK, and those around the world.    

We are looking for an outstanding literature project assistant who has solid experience in project administration and can used their knowledge and passion for Literature to support the British Council Literature team’s international cultural relations projects.    

You will have:  excellent administrative and team working skills; a track record in good customer service; knowledge of contemporary literature and contacts with the UK literature constituency and a graduate or postgraduate qualification in literature or equivalent experience.
