Position Summary
Accountable for provision of engineering and technical solutions for all brown field projects in respect to controls and instrumentation and shall provide a technical solution which is safe, operable as well.
This is a contract position for 2 years direct with BG.

Key Accountabilities
Accountable for providing supervision of detailed engineering of brown field activities by interacting with the major stakeholders for controls and implementation discipline and ultimately providing a technical solution which is safe and operable.
Key accountable for providing technical solutions in the field of controls and instrumentation for brown field projects which is cost effective. Responsible for providing relevant inputs for cost, schedule analysis.
· Adherence to BG policies including BG HSSE policy and BG Ethical Policy
· Adherence to BG Life Savers
· Ensure compliance to BG Standards and International Standards.
· Demonstration of technical leadership in technical discussions with stakeholders ( JV partners, operations, optimisation and development team) for controls and instrumentation
· Participation and contribution in HSSE studies including HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, QRA workshops for compressor controls
· Participate and contribute in PEER reviews of compressor projects
· Ensure usage of ALARP guidelines in implementation of a technical solution
· Demonstrate technical and HSE leadership with engineering contractors, vendors and compressor vendor
· Participate and contribute for all Factory Acceptance Test and inspection requirements for all items and equipments specific to controls and instrumentation including integrated FAT for compressors
· Continuous interaction with other asset technical authorities, operations, execution team, asset integrity, quality, HSE to ensure safe and efficient implementation of the technical solutions for controls and instrumentation discipline.
· Development of change orders, task requests for implementation of a technical solution in Controls and Instrumentation discipline for brown field projects
· Contribute to the management of change procedure in CONTRACTOR

Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attribute
Expereince needed:
· Should have relevant engineering experience in offshore industry
· Shall be preferred to have worked in an operating company in engineering department.
· Shall have relevant experience to carry out brownfield activities
· Shall have relevant experience to work in contractor’s office
· Shall have relevant experience in commissioning of compressors
Knowledge
· Should have a minimum engineering degree in controls & instrumentation
· Fundamental knowledge in distributed control system, Emergency Shut Down System, Fire and Gas System
· Should be able to demonstrate suitable interface skills
· Fundamental knowledge on compression units
· Expertise knowledge on compressor controls
· Fundamental knowledge on 3.3kV electrical systems
Skills
· Development of a scope of work for engineering & implementation of controls & shutdown systems
Understanding the operations, asset integrity & maintenance requirements and addressing the same effectively
Special features: The position requires frequent travel to offshore facility and representation at vendor’s premises.
