The PLGP is a partnership between the governments of Australia and PNG to support and improve the quality of decentralised service delivery to the people of PNG through capacity development of provincial governments and other key national agencies. PLGP is currently seeking applications for a Deputy Team Leader (Services) to support the implementation and leadership of this multi-location and multi-disciplinary program.
DEPUTY TEAM LEADER (SERVICES)
Discipline C, Level 3 on AusAID’s Adviser Remuneration Framework.
This is a senior management role, responsible for ensuring the PLGP provides high quality services in financial, logistics, trust and operations accounts management, and ensuring program implementation. The role provides services across the PLGP office teams and the program’s advisers working in GoPNG agencies at national and provincial level.
The role supports the Team Leader in his/her accountabilities by contributing to the effective and efficient management of the Program Office and Provincial and Local Government Program, meeting contractual obligations.
To be successful in this position, applicants will need to demonstrate significant experience in a project management leadership role in a development program with PNG experience desirable. You will have operated successfully as part of a senior management team within a large and complex organisation and be experienced in meeting donor planning, monitoring and reporting requirements. You will have a strong background in finance, human resource management, logistics and operation services. The ability to adapt to and work effectively in a cross-cultural environment and apply this in a leadership role will be critical for success as will a strong understanding of cross-cutting issues and the ability to apply these in a leadership role.
