Finance and Grants Manager - Jordan

Global Communities, formerly CHF International, is an international non-profit organization that works closely with communities worldwide to bring about sustainable changes that improve the lives and livelihoods of the vulnerable.

Global Communities is seeking an experienced Finance and Grants Manager for an anticipated USAID-funded rapid response community engagement program in Jordan. The program will work with local partners to mitigate and resolve tension and instability caused by both domestic volatility and the massive influx of refugees. The program will focus on three primary components: 1. Expand NGO, community organization, professional association and government efforts to build resilience and address cohesion-related challenges; 2. Increase civil society-government-private sector cooperation in building resilience and addressing cohesion-related challenges; and 3. Strengthen skills and build other capacity relevant to community and national cohesion.

The Finance and Grants Manager will be responsible for overall program financial management, management of sub-grants and sub-contracts, and ensures compliance with all USAID and Global Communities rules and regulations. This position is contingent upon funding.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of increasing responsibility providing financial oversight, accounting and grants management on large donor-funded projects, particularly in challenging environments. • Strong knowledge of USAID rules and regulations. • Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative team approach. • Excellent communication and organizational skills. • High integrity and strong attention to detail and ability to set priorities and meet deadlines. • Experience in Jordan or the Middle East/North Africa a must. • Fluency in English required; Arabic preferred. • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, economics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. • Jordanian Nationals are encouraged to apply.
