Asset Supervisor

The Asset Supervisor reports to the Offshore Installation Manager.

 Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that all systems and equipment onboard are maintained and operated properly
  • Ensure that all maintenance and repairs, both planned and corrective, are properly organized and executed in a professional manner and to a high standard
  • Ensure familiarity with the drilling unit, the hull and the structure including all relevant systems onboard
  • Responsible for equipment failure investigation, reporting, root cause analysis and subsequent follow up actions onboard
  • Responsible for all end of well maintenance planning, co-ordination, service engineer requests and spares required for this workscope onboard
  • Ensure familiarity with all class, statutory & coastal shelf regulations related to the unit and its operation
  • Liaise with class, statutory and governmental representatives whilst onboard to co-ordinate all and any survey activities onboard
  • Responsible for the compiling and submission of warranty claims reports to the Technical Superintendent ashore, and follow up of corrective actions onboard relating to the warranty claim
  • Follow up on the implementation onboard of corrective actions arising from vendors Product Information Bulletins and Safety Alerts
  • Ensure that the vessel at all times has the necessary supplies and spare parts for operation and maintenance of all equipment on board, in accordance with the corporate spare parts philosophy
  • Ensure that all reporting and record keeping of every departments maintenance is up to date and in order
  • Maintain the filing system onboard for certificates, drawings and manuals
  • Participate in safety meetings and safety drills held on board
  • Overall responsible on board for the management of the Maintenance Management System & criticality analysis

Desired Skills & Experience

Required Experience:
  • Experience of ultra depwater drilling units
  • Experience of equipment failure investigation and root cause analysis would be considered an advantage
  • Good overview of Marine, Technical & Drilling systems, with a strong focus in the planning and execution of maintenance activities
  • High standard of technical reporting is essential
 Qualifications:
  • Valid 1stClass Marine Engineer Certificate of Competency, Engineering degree or be able to demonstrate an equivalent level of technical competency
  • Valid Offshore Survival Course, OPITO or equivalent
  • Valid Offshore Health/ Medical Certificate
