Budget Analyst - Middle East Programs

Dexis is seeking a mid-level budget analyst for an anticipated contract with the Department of State for the Middle East Partnership Initiative. The candidate will assist MEPI in budget formation and analysis and review program finance. MEPI seeks to create vibrant partnerships between America and teh citizens of the Middle East and North Africa, to empower them to build more pluralistic, participatory, and prosperous societies. The position will be based approximately half-time based in Washington, DC. Position is contingent upon award and would begin in June 2013 for 1-5 years.

Responsibilities:

• Research and provide reports, Excel products, or oral briefings for internal audience
• Track and forecast budgets
• Review, organize, and analyze financial documents

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years experience in budgeting or financial managment of United States Government funded programmatic activiies
• Demonstrated knowledge of current business, accounting, or foreign assistance tools and methods
• Experience in public sector finance and budgeting
• Preferred: Arabic and/or French Language skills, interest and experience in Middle East, understanding of Department of State budgeting and programs
