Chief of party , Singapore
Chemonics seeks a chief of party for an anticipated USAID-funded
project to support the US-Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC). The
project aims to strengthen the capacity of the APEC Secretariat and the
APEC's foreign assistance-eligible developing member economies to
advance regional economic integration and achieve the Bogor Goals of
free and open trade and investment in the region. We are looking for
individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of
people around the world.
Responsibilities include:
- Oversee program management including provision of technical support and training
- Support and facilitate discussions with APEC entities for the purposes of activity development, under the guidance of USAID and policy guidance of state EAP/EP.
- Liaise with the APEC Secretariat staff as well as provide direct assistance with the APEC executive director in Singapore
Qualifications:
- Master's degree or equivalent in trade policy, regional economic integration, economics, international development, or a related field required
- Minimum 10 years of experience managing programs similar to the regional focus and complexity of this activity required; minimum five years of experience supervising complex programs in a geographically dispersed and regional setting and/or with multilateral institutions desired
- Minimum five years of contract management experience required with a central focus on project design, development, and implementation; establishing systems and overseeing program start-up under limited time constraints; hiring, training, and supervision of local personnel; and tracking, reporting, and accounting of finances and procurement
- Proven management skills with multiple stakeholders in a bureaucratic environment and within U.S. operational and management systems
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
- English fluency required
