Position Description
Works for BT&E El Segundo Platform STE Products group which is responsible for the design and development of automated special test equipment (STE) used in production test of a wide range of analog, power, and digital electronics. Specifically, this position is for an engineer with direct hands on experience in the design, integration and troubleshooting of power systems. Leads testing and validation work on complex system designs to assure that operational and functional requirements are met. Manages performance of critical suppliers to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements. Provides production support for manual, custom, and power test equipment already in place. Develop strategies for support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle. Leads research into multiple advanced technologies for potential application to company business needs. Must at times be able to handle pressure. Must possess excellent communication skills and troubleshooting skills. Will be a lead engineer for the re-design and development of the next generation of power STE. This will involve being able to manage vendors, work in a team environment and generate various work products.Competencies

Typical Education/Experience
Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's 14 or more years' experience, Master's with 12 or more years' experience or PhD with 9 or more years' experience.
