Mechanic Hydraulic Offshore Superintendent

To progress in a business where we take care of our people, where ideas and careers grow, and where talent is rewarded.  The Mechanic Hydraulic Offshore Superintendent reports to the Mechanic Manager and will be working internationally on all Ocean Rig units as needed.
Main responsibilities:
  • Provide general Mechanic/ Hydraulic support to offshore units
  • Proactively advise to offshore units about Mechanic/ Hydraulic related matters
  • Execute regular inspections of the offshore units for Technical Audit (equipment condition and certification)
  • Oversees implementation of the Preventative Maintenance System through observations of the PMS job plans and schedule
  • Propose improvements or corrections to the PMS as needed
  • Support Training Program
  • Monitor repairs and newbuild of onshore equipment
  • Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing as needed
  • Support system modifications and upgrades for the offshore units
  • Competency assessment of mechanical and hydraulic personnel
  • Execute other relevant tasks as directed by the Mechanic Manager
 Qualifications/Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years experience as Mechanic Engineer, or equivalent
  • Relevant professional certificate
  • Previous experience within the drilling industry, preferably onboard a drillship or semi-submersible
  • Ability to work systematically and independently
  • Good English communication skills
  • Must be acquainted with regulations and requirements from relevant authorities and classification societies applicable to mechanic equipment
