Project Development Consultant , Sin Fronteras IAP

The Project Development Consultant will provide assistance and support in fundraising at both national and international levels, the project design, the proposal and report writing and other related tasks required for the institutional strengthening.

Under the direct supervision and overall guidance of the General Director, the Project Development Consultant provides project and operational support for Sin Fronteras IAP, ensuring high quality, organization, accuracy and consistency of work.

The Project Development Consultant works in close collaboration with the Coordination Team and the operations staff as required for the effective and timely delivery of tasks in line according to the current work-plan.

The Initial contract will be for one year under consulting fees and with a probation period of three months. After the first year completion, the contract will be under a salary-based wage. 





Duties and responsibilities

• Designing and implementing a fundraising strategy for public, private, national and international grants.
• Researching and sourcing suitable funding opportunities/grants with details on requirements and restrictions, target groups and areas of interest;
• Managing the building of relationships with potential donors in collaboration with the General Director.
• Writing grant applications; 
• Facilitating to maintain close relationship and proper communication of the existing donors with the General Director, working towards reliable, fair and long-term relationships.
• Supporting coordination, timely preparation and delivery of internal and external project proposals, project reports and documents.
• Following-up to the project implementation with the project coordinator and the Administration Coordinator.
• Supporting the Administration Coordination with the institutional paperwork related to donors.
• Conducting other activities as needed in regards to fundraising (monitoring and evaluation visits).
• Updating the database of both institutional and individual donors. 
• Writing the bimonthly newsletter for donors in English and Spanish.
• Participating on the development and evaluation of strategic and operative plans.
• Ensuring the collection and sharing of information of the Project Development Coordination using different tools (Institutional Information System, Office,…) 
• Assisting the event and workshops organization.
• Leading the international interns and volunteers application.
• Supporting the translation of documents from Spanish to English.
• Any other duty as may be assigned by the General Director.


Required skills and experience 

• University Degree in Project Development, International Relations, Political Science, Public Administration or relevant fields.
• Excellent written skills in Spanish and English language.
• Knowledge of a third language is an advantage.
• Proven minimum 2 year experience on project planning and management.
• Good understanding of organization and management of public, private institutions and NGOs, with a focus on human resources, financial sustainability of the organization.
• Communication and IT skills. 
• Excellent organization skills.
