About Your Job::
We are seeking a highly talented, experienced and motivated person to join our team as Account Manager in Cape Town.

In this role you will be responsible for managing relationships with Qatar Airways’ corporate and trade customers. The responsibilities include developing a successful, consistent approach to local and multinational dealing, which drives maximum revenue and minimum cost of sale. It also includes gaining maximum value for the airline from any Agreements that exist between to the two parties. You will engage in joint sales and marketing activity to grow the level and quality of QR revenue sold through these partners and driving efficiencies in the distribution processes.

Key accountabilities include developing and maintaining long term strategic relationships with Qatar Airways’ Trade partners and corporate clients. You will prepare an account development plan to achieve short, medium, and long term mutual benefits for both Trade Partners and Corporate customers. Also important is contributing to the formulation and implementation of QR sales strategy to maximise short and long term revenue opportunities, reduce cost of sale and generate channel shift where appropriate.

You will maximise value from marketing spend whilst managing an individual expenditure budget and maintaining sales professionalism standards.



About You::
To be successful in this role you will have local market knowledge in South Africa and particularly Cape Town, solid existing business relationships in the trade and corporate arena and at at least 4 years experience in airline marketing and sales.  You will have a Diploma or Associate Degree as a minimum with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills are key to success together with strong commercial acumen and sounds experience negotiating contracts. You will be able to spot and interpret market trends. Effective communication skills in spoken and written English are essential.
