Medical Officer: Grade 1
Salary: R555 045 per annum (inclusive package)
Specific Requirements: Up to 5 years’ experience after registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as an Independent Practitioner.
Medical Officer: Grade 2
Salary: R634 641 per annum (inclusive package)
Specific Requirements: 5-10 years’ experience after registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as an Independent Practitioner.
Medical Officer: Grade 3
Salary: R736 518 per annum (inclusive package)
Specific Requirements: 10 or more years’ experience after registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as an Independent Practitioner.
Generic Requirements: â€¢ An MBChB plus registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Practitioner • Non-South African citizens should have a valid work permit in conformance with HR Circular 49/2008, obtainable from any Government Department.
Duties: â€¢ Offer clinical services • Work compulsory commuted overtime • Contribute to the management duties of the Unit • Teach undergraduate students • Attend all unit meetings.
Note: Medical posts at Kimberley Hospital are seen as waiting posts for the Registrar Training Programme at the University of the Free State.
