About the Job:
MicroVentures is seeking a Chief Executive Officer for its new subsidiary in the Philippines. S/he will lead the start-up, implementation, and development of a microfinance institution in the Philippines. The position is based in Metro Manila.
MicroVentures is seeking a Chief Executive Officer for its new subsidiary in the Philippines. S/he will lead the start-up, implementation, and development of a microfinance institution in the Philippines. The position is based in Metro Manila.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the whole set up and implementation of the company and its operations, with the support of MicroVentures team;
- Recruitment and guidance of the local management team;
- Design strategic objectives, business, and financial targets of the MFI;
- Develop and guide the MFI in line with the strategy defined by the organization's board of directors.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Management, Banking, Finance;
- Master degree is a plus;
- At least 10 years of working experience including at least 5 years in high-level management positions, preferably in the financial services industry (retail banking, financial institutions or microfinance);
- At least 5 years experience in Asian countries;
- Good background in overseeing different aspects: operations and controls, HR, finance, and negotiation with third parties;
- Entrepreneurial, leadership, planning, and organization skills, result-oriented, coaching/teaching skills;
- Fluency in English;
- Interpersonal and conflict management skills;
- Ability to find pragmatic solutions in different social and business environment;
- Have a passion to work in business with double bottom lines of economic and social objectives;
- Transparent person with high Integrity and ethical values.
