Position Summary

The Process Data and Technology Lead has been a senior business analyst, business process owner or solution architect in a previous role.
They are a Commodities IT SME able to translate business requirements into IT solutions supporting their assigned trading business as a whole. They need to be capable of interfacing with senior business and IT stakeholders to manage the workbook and resolve issues.
They progress new initiatives and ensure smooth daily operations.  **This role to be filled in either Houston, TX or Reading UK.

Key Accountabilities

Primary accountabilities/responsibilities of this role are:
• Represents IT, interfacing with the business and business support groups
• Build excellent working relationship with the BPOs, BAs, GEMS program manager and the GEMS service manager
• IT Solution Architecture and Design
o Collects requirements and proposes/designs solutions to address them
o Engages with the project team and operations team to ensure all solutions and designs are consistent and adhere to appropriate standards and best practices
o Ensure that technology innovation is understood and communicated to the BPOs and BAs for potential inclusion in future IT roadmaps
o Keep up to date with solution innovation for key utilized technologies in the landscape (e.g. Endur, Shipnet)
• Owns ongoing IT incidents/initiatives/projects for their assigned area and:
o Participates in project governance, readiness reviews, stakeholder updates and quality gates as required
o Ensures completeness of the solution design documentation 
o Prioritizes between projects and enhancements in collaboration with the business
o Works with whomever in IT to ensure issues are resolved
o Resolves issues arising between IT and the business

Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attribute

Candidates should have the following experience:
• History as a strong business analyst and/or architecting IT solutions and/or IT technical design 
• Expert level of experience in ensuring solution architectures are successfully delivered in a corporate setting
• Energy industry experience required, preferably with trading and shipping systems
• Endur experience; preferable to have experience of other packages such as Allegro, Triple Point, SunGard, Navita, Brady, Murex, Solarc, Sakonnet, Ventyx, Abacus 
• Experience in one or more of the following trading activity support systems such as Business Objects, Rome Credit, Shipnet, Zema and MS Analysis Services
• Commodity experience with LNG (preferably physical and financial) 
• Experience supporting technology solutions, including change management across the full software development lifecycle
The candidate would possess:
• A degree or equivalent in a relevant subject 

Candidates should have the following specific knowledge:
• Knowledge in specific business areas of energy trading and prior experience with Energy Trading Systems development
• Oracle PL/SQL and other query tools
• Software development lifecycle and application support processes
• ETRM Space 
• Openlink Endur
• Microsoft C# development toolkit
• Integration with Quantitative Models

• Exceptional working knowledge of the Shipping Industry: Crude, LNG, LPG
• Must be able travel internationally as required
