Position Summary

The purpose of this role is to independently verify, report and analyze the trading performance and activities for the North America Gas Marketing operations.

Key Accountabilities

• Prepare daily P&L, position and risk limits reports for NAGM.
• Validate prices feeds from external sources and internal forward curves.
• Responsible for user testing of systems functionality and enhancements as well as providing feedback on related enhancements on systems functionality.
• Streamline business processes and procedures to align with best practices and systems capabilities..
• Will act as a backup for other risk analyst when needed.
• Generate new deals report, obtain sign-off from front office, and perform day 1 pnl analysis.
• Complete Flash and EOD processes in Endur.
• Work closely with Front office to provide ad hoc support for the NAGM business.
• Work closely with BG IT to ensure that all systems processes are efficient and that all business requirements for upgrades and enhancements are communicated effectively.
• This role will interface with multiple levels of the NAGM and Finance organizations.
• This role will coach/mentor the other NAGM risk analyst in the group.
• This candidate will provide professional advice in more complex areas and is able to manage their own work with limited supervision.

Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attribute

Experience Needed:
 
• 5-7 years of experience within a trading and risk management organization, including an advanced understanding of the North American natural gas market segment.
• Experience with the Endur energy trading risk management system.
 
Knowledge, Languages, Skills and Attributes:
 
• Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or Engineering.
• Strong understanding of trading, operations, risk and back office business processes, policies, procedures and controls.
• Advanced understanding of trading influences, deal structures and types, interpreting positions, P&L, market to market, trading reporting regulations, financial and management reporting, position reporting, and financial analysis.
• Business analysis skills, modeling capabilities, detail orientation, teamwork, research and problem solving, computer skills, technology orientation, strong follow-through.
