Description 
The Programme Marketing Director will be responsible for producing and implementing a marketing plan that enables the programme to achieve its overall objectives. The marketing effort for the mobile identity programme will include market research, positioning and messaging in addition to promotion. Activity to inform and recruit mobile operators for interoperable mobile identity implementations is a key requirement, as is increasing awareness within the broader ecosystem including banking, retail and governments. A strong understanding of the digital and mobile identity sectors is required and this role will provide a unique opportunity to use this knowledge and experience to help shape the mobile identity landscape on a global level. Part of the central GSMA marketing department, this role exclusively supports the GSMA’s Mobile Identity programme. Interactions will also include the other GSMA tier one programme teams and the business development and PR teams. Key Responsibilities: • Creation and ownership of the marketing strategy, plan and budget including research, positioning, messaging and promotion • Responsibility for the development and management of marketing communications campaigns to support the identification of qualified mobile operator leads for mobile identity implementations, including: o Lead development amongst mobile operators and other companies in the wider ecosystem o Promotion through existing GSMA channels (e.g. newsletters, websites) o Development of supporting materials • Responsibility for the development and implementation of campaigns to increase broader ecosystem awareness of mobile identity, including: o Contact list development o Development of ecosystem events (e.g. seminars, roundtables, webinars) o Development of relationships with and promotion through relevant industry associations o Development of supporting materials • Responsibility for tracking and measurement of campaign activities and lead generation 

Context 
The GSMA Mobile Identity Programme This GSMA programme has been initiated to ensure that mobile operators are well positioned to understand and unlock the potential that digital identity can offer the industry, its customers and consumers. There is a rapidly changing landscape involving numerous organisations. In addition, new opportunities and challenges can be expected resulting from existing and forthcoming regulation and legislation pertaining to electronic and mobile identity.

Criteria 
• Relevant experience, for example: personal data, mobile identity, privacy • Marketing / product marketing / marketing communications experience and expertise • Experience of positioning and messaging development in addition to promotion • Previous experience working at or with mobile operators would be advantageous • An excellent communicator • International experience is preferred • Evidence of high quality delivery in complex and challenging business-to-business environments
