Business Development and Grant Writing Services Request for Expression of Interest

The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) invites expressions of interest to provide business development and grants services for food assistance programs that support country-led hunger solutions. The short term contract work will include partnership development and funding proposal management for projects in Africa, Asia and Latin America. Moderate travel required.

The ideal candidates will have:
• direct business development experience with private sector, European donors, foundations, UN-agencies, the international non-profit sector and other relevant stakeholders;
• a proven record of relationship development with international public sector donors, inter-governmental organizations, multilateral institutions, and vertical funds;
• demonstrable first-hand success managing European funding proposal submissions for competitive and non-competitive grants;
• superior communications skills;
• appreciation of value for money, strategic partnerships, and diverse financing models in support of country-led investment plans and national priorities and objectives; and,
• working knowledge of food security and nutrition programming, social protection and safety nets, or food and agricultural value chains.
