Information Policy Advisor: Data Protection

Based in London / Manchester

£25,000 - £27,499 per annum (plus £3,300 London Market Allowance if applicable)

The focus of this post is supporting the British Council’s reputation by providing professional consultancy and business assurance in the field of information governance and compliance. The postholder will deal with individual information access cases in a way that upholds the law and protects the interests of the British Council.

You will have:

- A proven track record of working as a Data Protection Officer and experience of providing advice on Freedom of Information and handling Freedom of Information enquiries.

- Experience in managing complex and sensitive information access requests.

- A qualification in Information Law or Information Compliance (for example ISEB in Data Protection or Freedom of Information)
