Join one of RMIT’s largest Schools - Global Studies, Social Science and Planning as a Professor of Social Work. In being appointed to this role you will also assume the position of Discipline Head, Social Work and provide strategic leadership and management of the Social Work area in the School. You will engage with senior colleagues to set directions for the Social Work area, and the School’s future, building on interdisciplinary and international opportunities.

As Professor of Social Work, a major component to the role of Discipline Head will be to influence and stimulate public debate and policy through engaging with local, national and international communities. You will take responsibility for Social Work research activity and undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programs.

As the successful appointee, you will be an outstanding and well-respected academic of international standing, with the vision and capacity to help shape and build the future of the Social Work profession. Your highly distinguished record in learning, teaching and research, a clear commitment to human rights and social justice and substantial publication record will see you excel in this exciting position.
