Research Manager The English Federation of Disability Sport (EFDS)

The English Federation of Disability Sport (EFDS) is a national charity dedicated to getting more disabled people into sport throughout England. We work closely with a number of key partners to improve and increase the opportunities available to disabled people to enjoy sport and physical activity.

EFDS is looking to appoint a Research Manager to help fulfil one of our key aims: "We will be the leading centre for commissioning specialist market knowledge and evidence led insight, in order to drive increased participation in sport and physical activity by disabled people".

This represents a key role acting as a central coordination resource, collaborating with key partners, National Governing Bodies of Sport and the wider sports sector to research evidence relating to disabled people in sport.

You will be able to demonstrate that you have the professional skills, experience and ability to work closely with the wider sectors coordinating as well as conducting research. You are likely to have undertaken research at PhD level and ideally in aspects of sport for disabled people.

You will be part of the dynamic, driven and innovative EFDS team responsible for achieving key organisational outcomes and support the work of EFDS in developing robust research and evidence based practice.

In combination with your professional ability, you will have the enthusiasm to deliver and strengthen the organisation by helping to market sport and the inclusion of disabled people effectively.
