It’s a big territory, and it calls for someone who can handle huge responsibility.

About the role

Technical infrastructure, including PC and communications equipment networks.Operating systems.Application software.Systems implementation.Learning & Development. You’ll own the seamless delivery of them all. It will be down to you to build a thorough understanding of the needs of the business. Thenyou’ll plan and manage how our IT resources and services are allocated, making sure they’re used to best effect. Leading a small team of specialists and making appropriate use of suppliers, you’ll support end users through a Service Desk, ‘Fix on Fail’ and preventive maintenance. And as the local ambassador for IS standards and systems, you’ll champion a culture that’s cost-benefit conscious. At every stage we’ll look to you for specialist advice, strategic thinking and a balanced view of both IS and business objectives.

About you

An IT expert with a strong knowledge of core IT processes, you’ll have skills that encompass networks, servers, PCs and software. More than that though, you’ll have good people skills. Not only will you work well in a team, you’ll know how to lead one. And, as you’ll be the linchpin between IS and the rest of the business, you’ll certainly have shown you can build relationships at all levels. We’ll also look for the ability to influence, negotiate and persuade, and to drive projects through to completion.Add plenty of initiative, determination and multicultural sensitivity, and you could soon be helping us to help millions of others.
