VICE-PRESIDENT PROGRAM AND PARTNERSHIP

Reporting to the President, the Vice-President Program and Partnership directs the work of a talented multidisciplinary team in Ottawa and across six regional offices in various parts of the developing world, and provides leadership to innovative programs in research areas that include Agriculture & the Environment, Global Health Policy, Science & Innovation, and Social & Economic Policy. An integral member of the senior management team, the new executive will represent IDRC in Canada and abroad, and oversee the core partnerships and deliverables of the Centre as it continues to foster innovative, lasting local solutions to those who need it most.

As the ideal candidate, you have demonstrated experience providing leadership to innovative research programs and have a particular ability to draw together researchers, policy makers and partners towards a common goal. You have extensive experience liaising with senior officials in the Canadian federal public sector and in international research funding agencies. You have strong interpersonal skills and a talent for enabling experts to actualize their full potential. We seek a bilingual candidate (English and French) with a Ph.D. relevant to the work of IDRC, with a track record demonstrating a long-standing commitment to international development.
