Our Food Science graduates are well trained in the use of pilot plant technology and have an exceptionally high rate of employment within the industry upon graduating.

With our CBD-based Food Pilot Plant, you will be provided with strong connections with the Food Industry, a refurbishment of Food Science facilities which is taking place in 2012 and a new 4 year double degree in Food Science and Business commencing in 2012. This makes RMIT a very exciting place to be for outstanding academics in the area of Food Science and Technology. As Associate Professor and Discipline Head of Food Science and Nutrition, you will be in a position to shape the future of Food Science at RMIT. We are seeking a dynamic forward thinking individual able to apply an international perspective to the development of Food Science to drive the ongoing modernisation and renewal of existing teaching programs and foster innovative industry relevant research.

Described as an enthusiastic academic with a strong record of industry engagement, you
possess an excellent record of leadership in research and teaching in Food Science in the area of food microbiology, nutrition, food chemistry or food technology. You have personally led major independent research projects and have an excellent record of external funding and publication. You have a track record of leadership gained in academia or industry and are experienced in the design, delivery and continual evaluation of leading under graduate and post graduate courses.
