Malaysia Regional ICT Officer (Applications), P3

Under the supervision of Senior RICTO (Applications - Hub Lead) , the incumbent of the position will have the following

Supervision provided - Implement the Applications Plan designed with the Chief, ICT Field Operations Section, taking into account local constraints and cost effectiveness

Size and scope of role Ensures that the applications requirements for all UNHCR offices are understood, and that staff are supported in the use of UNHCR corporate applications, with a primary focus of those mainly in use in the field (e.g. registration systems). - The role is responsible for the countries of South Asia and South-East Asia. - For additional information about the skills related to this role please refer to the Division of Information Systems & Telecommunications (DIST) Job Family and Skills document

Main relationships - With local ICT staff in field locations to provide advice and guidance on applications - With the Senior Regional ICT Officer (RICTO) and Chief, ICT Field Operations Section, and Chief ICT Customer Services Section to plan and agree the approach to managing applications in the field - With local operations staff to understand the ICT needs of field offices - With 2nd line Applications Support staff in the ICT Services Hub – Amman to resolve application issues effectively
