Department
BBC Monitoring, headquartered in Caversham in the south of England, monitors open source foreign media from over 150 countries throughout the world in more than 100 languages. We provide breaking news as well as analysis and background information on key developments in the region to the BBC, government and commercial customers. We are seeking to employ Monitoring Journalists with fluent Persian and English skills on a continuing contract basis, based in either Baku, Tbilisi or Yerevan.
Requirements
You will have an excellent command of Persian and English, both written and spoken, as well as proven translation skills. You will also have an excellent knowledge of international affairs, especially in relation to Iran and you’ll be educated to degree level or equivalent.
