MRC PhD Studentships in Vaccine Research London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine

Three MRC-funded PhD studentships in Vaccine Research are available at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine to commence in October 2012. All areas of research relevant to vaccines are covered, from microbiology and immunology to epidemiology, modelling and public health policy. The studentships are for 3.5 years and will cover a tax free stipend of £15,740 per year, tuition fees (at the home/EU student rate) and research support. Successful students will also undertake a 3 month placement in another laboratory or institution. This could be to gain experience of fieldwork, or working in a public health agency such as WHO or industry.
Further details of the vaccine research PhD programme, projects and supervisors can be found at http://www.lshtm.ac.uk/study/funding/mrc_phd.html. Enquiries related to particular research projects should be directed to the named supervisor.
