Senior Programme Officer for Pakistan

Salary: £34,342 per annum (more for an exceptional candidate), plus excellent benefits, including childcare vouchers salary sacrifice scheme, non-contributory pension scheme of 10% of gross annual salary, season ticket loan, subsidised gym membership, 25 holidays days per year plus English statutory holidays

Based: London

We are looking for a dynamic result-oriented person to join our Asia programme and lead on the development and delivery of our peacebuilding activities in Pakistan. You will be responsible for initiating a new project working with business networks in Pakistan and in the diaspora to build peace, and conducting research and dialogue together with partner organisations. You will work closely with colleagues other team members in the Asia programme and take an active role in developing Alert’s new Pakistan peacebuilding programme. The post will involve frequent and extended travel to Pakistan.

To be the successful candidate, you will need to show that you are energetic, a strategic thinker and initiator, a creative facilitator of high level networking processes. You should have a solid understanding of the Pakistan conflict context with solid in-country working experience, a demonstrable knowledge of innovative peacebuilding approaches, a track record in fundraising and experience of establishing and developing organisational systems.
