The Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) is a system of 16 Colleges in 7 centers in the United Arab Emirates, one of the most progressive and modern countries in the Middle East.

The System Registrar is a hands-on role that serves as the official authorized keeper of HCT student records and provides system-wide leadership to the Higher Colleges of Technology’s Campus Academic Services. The System Registrar provides effective management, initiates innovative programs and services to promote a positive customer service environment, promotes communication, engages in creative problem solving, ensures accountability, and supports the HCT community. In carrying out responsibilities, the post holder works closely with Campus Academic Services, Academic Division Heads, Campus Student Services and the National Admissions and Placement Office (NAPO).

Requirements:
• A Masters degree in a relevant social science/humanities discipline or a related field
• Significant years of related experience with a successful track record in a complex decentralized educational environment
• Demonstrated experience working in the Registrar’s office or Student Services
• Familiar with the implementation of large databases and issues related to student information systems; experience with Banner is preferred
• Knowledge of the latest technological developments in higher education and their applications to student and faculty client services
• Demonstrated skill with Microsoft Office or similar packages
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills
• A high degree of discretion in dealing with potentially sensitive cases and handling confidential information
• Strong leadership, management and mentoring skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of people from different cultures
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
