REGISTRAR

The University of Technology, Jamaica (UTech) is an accredited institution that provides educational programmes at the undergraduate and graduate levels for a diverse student body. To continue our mission towards stimulating positive change in the Caribbean society through provision of high quality learning and research opportunities and service to our communities, we are seeking to identify a dynamic, visionary, transformational leader who can excel in the post of Registrar.

Reporting to the President, the successful candidate will:

• Lead and manage the functions and staff of the Office of the Registrar whilst providing advice and working on policy issues across the University.

• Organize and administer the records, registration and graduation functions, including transcript evaluations in order to provide maximum service to students while ensuring efficient and effective workflow.

• Provide leadership, and develop appropriate recommendations for the implementation of related technology applications in support of enhanced services offered through Registration and Records.

Ideally, candidates should have:
• A minimum of a relevant Masters or terminal degree in Higher Education
• Substantial experience as a Registrar in a Higher Education institution with multi-campuses or significant experience in an academic leadership environment
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
• Demonstrated understanding of student records systems
• Accessible and Open leadership style
• Commitment to collaboration
• Super student responsiveness
• A positive attitude and ability to plan and adapt to change
