About the role

The Early Childhood Education (ECE) Program Manager is key a position on Vanuatu’s Senior Management team. The primary function of this role will be to ensure the successful implementation of the Save the Children’s Early Childhood Education program (pre-school programs and the first cycle of basic education) and the delivery of outcomes in partnership with the Ministry of Education (MoE). The successful candidate will lead and manage SCA’s education program team, report to the Country Director and undertake the following core responsibilities:

• Manage the development, growth and partnerships which relate to the ECE program • Provide direct and indirect technical support and management of the design, implementation and monitoring of the ECE Program • Provide guidance, management and capacity building of local SCA, national and provincial staff • Ensure all child protection risk management/safeguarding strategies are implemented throughout all existing and new programs • Work collaboratively with a range of education partners to ensure SCA’s contributions to education are in line with government, donor and SCI priorities
