Viet Nam Technical Officer-Community Based Organisational Development

CARE Vietnam (CARE VN) has a long history of increasing the participation of marginalised communities in development by delivering projects using community empowerment approaches. The legal landscape for, and organisational profile of community based groups in Vietnam, is rapidly changing. In order to maximise the contribution of CARE’s programs, this position will focus on 4 core areas:

• Consolidate CARE Vietnam’s work in community empowerment through organisational capacity building.

• Identify and make accessible key technical approaches and resources related to organisational capacity building and civil society strengthening.

• Provide support and assistance to CARE staff working in organisational capacity strengthening for civil society groups and to CARE’s civil society partners.

• Support CARE’s CBO/CSO partners to conduct small scale research on civil society effectiveness in development in Vietnam that can be used within the sector to promote CSO engagement.
