Senior Procurement Specialist in Ghana

Location: Accra, Ghana Period: Full time/Permanent

Position Description
This role requires a senior procurement professional to manage key procurement projects for the organisation and its client working closely with Crown Agents UK procurement delivery team and the Country Manager.

You will oversee the purchasing function ensuring that it is carried out in compliance with Crown Agents procedures and standards of ethical procurement, aid donor guidelines and end user requirements. Where required, you will also undertake procurement advisory type consultancy input.

Excellent client facing, negotiation and project management skills are key for this position as well as the ability to win credibility within a multi-cultural setting.

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you should hold in Purchasing, Civil/Structural Engineering, Economics, Business; and full CIPS qualifications. A relevant post graduate qualification is preferred

At least 5 – 10 years ‘at senior level (management) experience in purchasing within commercial / international donor organization. Experience within Public Sector procurement department or international consulting firms a plus.

In-depth knowledge of and experience in World Bank Procurement Procedures, Engineering contracts and the Ghana Procurement Law and ability to apply other relevant donor regulations e.g. DFID is preferred.
