ALS PARAMEDIC

We seek a self-motivated leader currently and appropriately registered with the Health Professions Council of SA who holds a National Diploma in AECT/EMC or CCA (Paramedic) and works meticulously and in an organised fashion. Above-average English communication and interpersonal skills, computer literacy in the Microsoft Office Suite and e-mail and the ability to work under pressure and independently are also essential. Candidates must be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at a relevant Gold Fields Occupational Healthcare Centre. Previous mining emergency care experience, familiarity with the Westonaria and Carletonville regions and supervisory/management experience would be advantageous. Persons with current, relevant ACLS, PALS, ATLS and Advanced Driving Certificate will also stand out.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Patient care supervision
  • Personnel management
  • Vehicle fleet management
  • Rescue
  • Training.
