Professional Assistant to the CFO

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the incumbent will provide effective and efficient administrative and professional support to the office of the Chief Financial Officer.

Key performance areas:

  • Office administration
  • Diary management
  • Office reporting
  • Stakeholder management for the CFO.


Key requirements:

  • Grade 12 (or relevant equivalent)
  • Diploma/degree in Business Administration or relevant qualification
  • 3-5 years’ experience as Professional Assistant to Executives
  • Advanced experience in MS Office, particularly Word and PowerPoint
  • Analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Detail orientation
  • Verbal and written communication skills at all levels
  • High levels of ethics
  • Secretariat skills.

Division: Finance
Assistant Management Accountant

Reporting to the Specialist: Management Accounting, the incumbent will assist the Management Accountant with cost analysis, reporting and budgeting.

Key performance areas:

  • Assist in compiling the bi-annual budget process
  • Prepare an analysis of identified expenditure by region and on a national basis
  • Assist in reporting
  • Assist with collecting and analysing of budget information from all regions
  • Assist with filing of all documentation
  • Assist with gathering of information for scorecard, cost analysis and budgeting purposes
  • Assist with analysing monthly regional responses to budget variances
  • Prepare monthly report on outstanding variance reports
  • Assist management accountant with ad hoc tasks
  • Travel to various regional offices to assist in annual budget submissions.


Key requirements:

  • National Diploma in Accounting
  • At least 3 years’ experience in management/financial accounting (experience in a Government organisation will be advantageous)
  • Knowledge of accounting and use of Microsoft Office, particularly advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Analysis skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Reliable.

Risk Officer
National Office

The incumbent will provide support in relation to the implementation of an enterprise-wide risk management system within the CCMA to ensure all risks are identified and mitigated and that value has been added.

Key performance areas:

  • Support ERM implementation
  • Compile draft risk feedback reports and submit to the Risk Manager for final quality assurance and distribution to relevant departments
  • Assist the Risk Manager in the implementation of risk management culture
  • Assist the Risk Manager to obtain all necessary information to complete monthly risk reports for presentation to Risk Committees
  • Report on and administer Risk Management System
  • Provide support to the Risk Manager related to functions of relevant committees.


Key requirements:

  • BCom or diploma. Membership to IIA or IRMSA would be advantageous
  • 2-3 years’ risk management or auditing experience
  • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels and develop a strong team
  • Thorough knowledge of South African Labour Law and Industrial Relations
  • High levels of computer literacy
  • Ability to analyse operations, reports, data and processes
  • Project management skills
  • Knowledge of:
    * The CCMA processes and procedures
    * Administration
    * LRA, PFMA, King III and other relevant prescripts
    * Risk management.

Dispute Management and Prevention Administrator
Ekurhuleni Office

The incumbent will provide administrative support to the Dispute Management and Prevention function to ensure that all regional dispute management and prevention (DMP) activities are completed in an effective and efficient manner.

Key performance areas:

  • Administration, general and project support
  • Finance, risk and supply chain management support
  • Dispute management event organisation
  • Case management assistance.


Key requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • 2-3 years in general administration
  • Dispute management/resolution processes
  • Case Management System

Senior HR Specialist: Remuneration & Benefits
National Office

Reporting to the HR Manager, the incumbent will optimise staff retention by creating an employee benefits environment which is conducive to meeting business objectives and enhancing organisational effectiveness.

  • Manage job profiling and evaluation
  • Oversee benefits and remuneration
  • Manage HR data and information systems
  • Manage cellphone contracts, provident fund, medical aid benefits

Key requirements:

  • Degree in Human Resources
  • 3-5 years’ experience in remuneration
  • Competency in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of the VIP HR Information system

  • High levels of ethics.
