For our regional office in Ghana we are looking for a Communications and knowledge manager for the sustainable Oil Palm Program.
Solidaridad in West Africa is growing rapidly with programs on a range of agricultural commodities like cocoa, cotton and oil palm. For the development of a Sustainable Oil Palm program for the West African region Solidaridad is developing a multi million EURO program. The program seeks to develop a regional expertise center on sustainable oil palm and bridge the productivity gap of small holder producers and promote sustainable business practices for both small and large mills by 2015.
Role Description
The Communications and knowledge manager will be responsible for setting up and managing a Communication and Information Service (CIS) to collect, manage and disseminate programme information, data and documentation and facilitate knowledge sharing and communications, both internally among programme staff and stakeholders and externally with related programmes and research initiatives. Ultimately the service will provide both and archive of program development and implementation and a centre for dissemination of research and best practice in palm oil production and processing.
