FOOD SECURITY AND LIVELIHOODS PROGRAM MANAGER - LIBERIA

We are looking for : A FOOD SECURITY AND LIVELIHOODS PROGRAM MANAGER

Country: LIBERIA - Moyamba

Length of Contract: 3 months - ASAP

Responsibilities:

Build the capacity of the Food Security and Livelihoods Program Manager (FSL PM) in agreed areas - Work with the FSL PM to develop his/her detailed Plan of Action (PoA) - Based on the PoA, determine what the capacity gaps are in the FSL PM - Develop a simple capacity building plan - Act on the capacity building plan - Prepare a monthly tracking report on the progress of capacity building.

Work with the national FSL PM to develop training manuals for the Smallholder Commercialisation Project Work together with the FSL PM on the following tasks: - Determine the donor and trainee requirements for the training materials - Develop or modify the training manuals to meet requirements. - Where required, coordinate with other organizations to develop the manuals

Qualification and previous experience: Agronomy related degree with experience in management and training in similar context of development. You have a capacity building approach and partnership sensitive. Skills in agro-cooperative systems and a good level of English are required.

Status:

Volunteer status for applicants with less than 24 months of humanitarian experience - Fixed-term contract of 1 year, renewable - All expenses paid on the field: travel out/return, collective accommodation, meals and hygiene expenses - €838 of indemnities per month on your bank account + Allowance of €200 per month paid on the mission - Social benefits: Medical, life and accident insurance provided by the institution - Acquisition of 2.5 days of paid leaves per entirely worked month - Recovery time breaks of one week every 2 or 4 months depending on the mission + break allowances - Pre departure training of two weeks, at the HQ in Paris

Program Managers with at least 24 months of humanitarian experience, Coordinators and Heads of Mission - Fixed-term contract, provided by ACF according to the French labour law. - Total average yearly gross income: from 39360 € to 43860 € o Food and housing: 1000 € / month average o Per Diem : 210 € / month average o Support to the R & R costs : 110 € / month average o Transportation costs to and from the mission : 460 € / month average o Monthly gross salary ranging from 1500 € to 1875 € (Net: from 1380 € to 1725 €) depending on relevant experience (possibility to increase up to 2137 € gross (1966 € net) according to seniority and performances) - 25 days of annual paid leaves - 20 days of R & R per year (taken as recovery time breaks of one week every 2 or 4 months depending on the mission) - Social benefits: Medical, life and accident insurance provided by the institution - Training before departure and all along the career with Action Contre la Faim.
