Management/Financial Accountant

Minimum requirements
You will possess a degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Information Systems or a closely related field and preferably hold a professional accountancy certification. You will have a minimum of 8 – 10 years’ experience, ideally gained in the oil and gas industry, international public accounting firms, or in a major corporate accounting and finance environment. Ideally, you will have specific experience in functional areas such as petrochemicals, refining, utilities/power, joint ventures, and/or trading activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Develops, interprets and implements new accounting systems and procedures.
• Analyses and provides recommendations on the feasibility of accounting information system proposals.
• Analyses the financial feasibility and impact of proposed budget items, investment alternatives and capital or operating programs, and assists in preparing expenditure requests.
• Prepares highly confidential and technical financial reports and forecasts on cash receipts and disbursements, corporate income, operating and capital plans and expenditures, manpower budgets, investments, and the consolidated financial position; analyses subsequent variances and identifies trends and opportunities to reduce or control costs.
• Develops and revises instructions for Accounting and General Instruction Manuals and interprets their application for operations organizations.
