Programme Organiser EIPA

The Programme Organisers (PO) provide logistic and organisational assistance in projects and maintain all necessary international contacts so that on the one hand scientific staff members are free to concentrate on content and, on the other hand, customer satisfaction can be optimised as a result. The PO Team in Luxembourg is currently composed of five members, who work with different scientific staff members on a project-by-project basis and report to the Director of the Centre.
The key responsibilities of a Programme Organiser consist of:
  • Organisational and logistical responsibility for preparing, organising, implementing and following up on projects supported by the European Commission as well as other contract activities and open enrolment seminars.
  • Co-responsibility for drawing up and controlling relevant budgets.
  • Preparation of tender proposals in cooperation with the project leader.
  • Maintaining contacts and networks.
  • Providing general support to the scientific staff.
Job Requirements:
The ideal candidate meets all or most of the following requirements:
  • A Bachelor degree or equivalent education and at least 2 years practical experience in a similar position.
  • Experience or affinity for working with web-based learning tools.
  • Command of English and French, and in both oral and written. Similar proficiency in an additional official language of the EU.
  • Project management training and/ or experience.
  • Knowledge of the EU and its institutions.
  • Being prepared to work outside of office hours when required, including willingness and ability to occasional travel for projects.
  • Preferably having the nationality of one of the EU Member States, of the candidate countries to the EU, or one of the EEA countries.
