Job Summary
Cardno Emerging Markets USA, Ltd. (Cardno) has an immediate need for a Manager, Business Development to provide leadership in expanding our market position – both in terms of existing service lines as well as new strategic areas. TheManager, Business Development will be responsible for the entire life-cycle of the business development process from early identification, capture management, marketing, and proposal management. This position is a management position reporting to the Business Development Director and is located in Arlington, Virginia.
Key Responsibilities
Cardno Emerging Markets USA, Ltd. (Cardno) has an immediate need for a Manager, Business Development to provide leadership in expanding our market position – both in terms of existing service lines as well as new strategic areas. TheManager, Business Development will be responsible for the entire life-cycle of the business development process from early identification, capture management, marketing, and proposal management. This position is a management position reporting to the Business Development Director and is located in Arlington, Virginia.
Other Requirements
- Master’s Degree in related field, or appropriate combination of Bachelor’s Degree and relevant professional experience (including field experience)
- Five to seven years of professional business development experience in the context of US Government and other donor-funded programs
- Solid understanding of USAID’s project design and development process and the factors important to evaluation committee decision making
- End-to-end experience leading and developing USAID proposals, including a clear understanding of how to strategically read an RFP, key roles and responsibilities on a proposal development team, and proven capacity to deliver high quality, winning proposals
- Demonstrated leadership, negotiation, problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, time-management, presentation, budgeting, and research skills
- Solid interpersonal, networking and cross-cultural skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple, complex pursuits
- Ability to establish solid working relationships with clients, program management, technical staff, and diverse staff in various other business areas of the organization
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- US work authorization required.
