Adviser in EU Public Affairs Credit Agricole


The Group Crédit Agricole S.A. is seeking an enthusiastic (M/F) for the position of Adviser in EU Public Affairs (Brussels office).
The adviser’s main role will be to represent the interests of the Crédit Agricole Group towards the European Institutions. In this context, he/she will be responsible for monitoring all banking and financial regulatory issues that are relevant for the Crédit Agricole Group. In coordination with the Bank’s experts, the Adviser will contribute to the development of corporate positions and briefing notes, and will provide strategic guidance to top managers on new European policy developments in the field of banking and insurance. He/she will build and maintain effective public relations within the EU political environment. In addition he/she will report on the key policy orientations of the main international public authorities involved in the development of banking and financial legislation and/or standards.
Skills, competencies and experience:
  • Academic background: University degree (Masters level) with a specialization in at least one of the following areas: political sciences, EU public affairs, European law, economics, banking, finance;
  • Professional experience: Minimum two years’ experience in field of EU public affairs. Good knowledge of the EU decision-making process and European banking legislation will be considered as an asset;
  • Languages: bilingual French-English. The knowledge of any other EU languages would be greatly appreciated.

  • Interest for the relevant regulatory areas (banking, finance, insurance,…); 
  • Ability to critically analyze complex regulatory information and to summarize it in simple language; 
  • Ability to coordinate positions and to build consensus; 
  • Outstanding communication skills; ability to speak and to write clearly and concisely; 
  • Strong organizational, mutlicultural and interpersonal skills; 
  • Teamplayer and ability to work independently; 
  • Curious, fast learning and willing to improve continuously.
