Business Analyst, Global Finance Change Programme


This role can be located in any British Council office around the world, with reporting lines to the UK. This role is Pay Band 8 in the UK, or an equivalent locally appointed contract. The Pay Band 8 bracket is £31,500 - £38,725, plus £3,300 London Market Allowance if applicable.
The Global Finance Change Programme (GFCP) works on projects aimed at enhancing our finance systems, organisation and business processes.

We are currently looking for several Business Analysts who need to have a good understanding of business operations used globally in the British Council, and a detailed knowledge of specific domains. Good analytical skills and aptitude are important, previous experience or qualification in business analysis would be useful, although this is not mandatory. The specific domains we are interested in are:

  • Finance related business processes and shared service centre operations
  • Management Information, planning and analysis
  • Banking systems, interfaces, and processes
  • Accounting  procedures, including inter-company accounting and consolidation

The roles are for one year initially with the possibility of a further extension for a further one year should candidates wish to transfer to implementation roles in the programme and are suited to that work.

The posts can be located in any British Council office worldwide, and will report in to project managers mainly based in the UK. The ability to travel globally is a requirement for these roles, and time away from base location will be needed, although this will be on the basis of business trips, and the roles do not offer relocation or mobility allowances.
