About the Job: 
FINCA International is seeking a Enterprise Database Administrator who will work under the supervision and guidance of director of enterprise data. S/he will be responsible for the architecture, design, planning, and overall management of databases across FINCA including transactional, operational, data marts, and an enterprise data warehouse.
Qualifications: 
  • Over 10 years of experience with Oracle Database (preferably 10g, 11g) and MS SQL Server in mission-critical production OLTP and DSS environments including installation and configuration in both MS Windows Server;
  • UNIX environments, performance monitoring and tuning, backup and recovery, issue resolution, planning, and implementation of high availability features;
  • Proven experience in database issue resolutions with excellent ability to quickly and properly diagnose issue including identifying platform, data base systems, design, or application, code issues;
  • Understanding of database systems used for enterprise data warehousing;
  • Strong experience with Oracle RMAN and organizing and supporting standby databases with Data Guard is a must;
  • Extensive database code development experience and database application development experience specifically with both PL/SQL and Transact-SQL languages with the ability to write and understand complex packages, procedures, functions, and triggers;
  • Experience with data modeling tools (e.g. ERwin), understanding of IDEF1X;
  • Demonstrated ability with source control systems and team collaborative software/database development and knowledge management;
  • Demonstrated ability with server and data storage hardware concepts with ability to conduct basic hardware and software sizing;
  • Demonstrated ability with networking concepts (VPN, routing concepts, security) in regards to data architecture;
  • Proven experience with MS Windows Server and UNIX operating systems;
  • Demonstrated competencies with of release management in a production environment;
  • Demonstrated abilities with ETL and data integration technologies/tools (e.g. Informatica, Oracle Warehouse Builder, SQL Server Integration Services);
  • Experience with the design and development of database sourcing code and data access coding;
  • Experience and ability to write develop tools to assist with DBA tasks;
  • Experience with DBA support and development tasks in both a transactional and DSS environments;
  • Experience with enterprise server and data storage hardware, proven ability to conduct hardware and software sizing;
  • Basic experience with networking (VPN, routing concepts, security);
  • General understanding of MS Windows Server operating systems and how to operate in these environments;
  • Proven expertise with Unix platform and operating system skills, including shell scripting;
  • Must have experience in release management covering development, Test, SI, and production environment;
  • Proven experience with backup/Recovery, disaster recovery, and information lifecycle management;
  • Prefer experience with FLEXCUBE Core Baking Application preferred or other banking/financial system, IBM AIX operating system, MS Access, and MS Excel data storage;
  • Proven knowledge of enterprise Database and data management/architecture industry best practices.
