Factual London produces a wide range of content across several genres, including science, history, arts, documentaries, business, features, consumer and The One Show. The output of Factual London is transmitted across all four main BBC television channels and online.
We’re looking for a Programme Services Co-ordinator to join our team and provide excellent customer support to our production staff.
Role
Working to an allocated business area, you’ll be the key point of contact for customers and service delivery teams for facilities within the BBC Media Centre and New Broadcasting House, which includes accommodation, IT resources, telephony and office equipment. You’ll build and maintain effective working relationships with key areas of the business, including ATOS, Technology, BBC Workplace and production teams helping to solve problems and ensuring a professional service is delivered in a timely fashion.
You will be responsible for maintaining and updating the accommodation planner for your area and feed into the Accommodation Forum group advising them of any potential problems that may arise. You will champion flexibility and creativity in the workplace, suggesting ideas for improvements as well as promoting the usage of other spaces within the Media Village and NBH. On a monthly basis, you’ll be providing a report to the Business Manager on costs for facilities used which will involve you examining, managing, reconciling and forecasting.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you’ll need excellent customer service, problem solving and analytical skills. You’ll be managing a variety of relationships so it’s important you have strong communication, influencing and persuading skills, happy to negotiate and make decisions as necessary. With the ability to remain calm, organised and focussed under pressure you must have an excellent knowledge of IT hardware and software and be a confident PC user. Experience of SAP and Astra is desirable but not essential.
You will have the ability to work within a team as well as on your own initiative with excellent attention to detail. Resilient and flexible in your approach, you’ll have a working knowledge of the BBC health and safety requirements in relation to office display screen equipment.
