Job Summary

Cardno ERI is seeking a Senior Environmental Technician. The Senior Environmental Technician will perform a variety of functions including environmental sampling, data collection, well gauging/bailing, laboratory chain-of-custody, system installation under supervision, operating thermal/catalytic oxidizers and liquid ring pumps, as well as electrical troubleshooting. ​

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Groundwater monitoring and sampling.
• Obtain depth to water measurements.
• Prepare laboratory chain of custodies.
• Experience in performing underground storage tank site assessment activities preferred.
• Operate and maintain soil and groundwater remediation systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems.
• Collect vapor and water samples.
• Compile data collected from site locations.
• Assist in performing pilot testing of remedial technologies.

Other Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong sense of reliability and responsibility.
• Must have a valid/current US driver’s license.
• Must have the ability to work independently.

Desired Qualifications:

• Detail oriented.
• Positive and energetic attitude.
• Self motivated.
• 40 Hour OSHA HAZWOPER training preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Daily travel in a motor vehicle.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• 95% of work time is spent in the field.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to wear a respirator and complete required annual OSHA physicals.
