Etisalat Vice President Commercial - Asia Region


Specific Accountabilities

  • Support the implementation of marketing projects
  • Identify regional P&S trends and innovations to keep the company abreast of changes in market developments
  • Support Group Marketing and OpCos in localization and customization of P&S for the cluster
  • Support Group Marketing in developing business cases for regional P&S in order to assess viability and compatibility of P&S in line with Group approved strategic initiatives.
  • Support development of and validate pricing plans of OpCos
  • Consolidate marketing performance measures which will drive a performance culture
  • Identify market risk scenarios and recommend measures to mitigate the identified risks
  • Communicate Group brand values and guidelines to OpCos
  • Monitor all out-going Etisalat advertising campaigns at regional Level

Generic Accountabilities

  • Support the development and alignment of the Commercial Strategy for the region and ensure that this strategy is implemented across the Region.
  • Optimize and streamline related business processes to accomplish synergies across the commercial function in Group and Region so as to enhance performance and efficiency.
  • Assist in the development, monitoring and control of the financial and manpower budget for the Asia region commercial division.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 10-12 years of relevant experience, gained from telco group, major telco operation and/or consulting environement (if from the consulting sector, must have been consulting the region's telco groups)
  • particularly strong expertise in pricing, marketing, distribution, sales
  • ability to manage multiple stakeholders across numerous geographies, creating synergies and ensuring best practice is shared across operations for the benefit of the corporation
  • Strong influencing skills - must be comfortable presenting at board/CXO level and be able to drive policies/strategies by gaining trust of local management teams
  • Strong commercial knowledge and experience, with relevant strong marketing background
    Exposure to best practice marketing methodologies
  • Master’s Degree in Marketing Management or equivalent.
    Professional certification such as CIMA in a relevant discipline
