Project Assistant 
General Responsibilities
The Project Assistant provides support to project activities including the coordination of meetings and events, preparation of materials, coordination of travel for short-term consultants, and maintaining records of the Project.
Specific Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Maintains a filing system for all project activities;
  • Assists in management of program activities, particularly with regard to organizing venues and coordinating attendance of stakeholders;
  • Attends and takes minutes of Project Management Meetings
  • Coordinates preparation of materials (printing, photocopying) required for Program activities
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Minimum Education Requirement
  • Bachelors Degree in Management, Development Studies or other relevant field.
Minimum Professional Experience
  • 3+ years working experience of demonstrable experience supporting implementation of donor funded projects.
  • Excellent writing, computer and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to work closely with a variety of project stakeholders, including local senior and support staff, USAID personnel, Home Office staff, consultants, and subcontractors to work collaboratively to solve administrative and operational problems as they arise; and
  • Proven ability to independently plan and execute commonly required tasks while addressing daily management demands.
